Updating audio codecs
The driver I have that worked in Windows 8.1 v10_1200a won't work in 10.
I had me one of those first ones, it included connector for proprietary CD player. Couple of interesting programs came with it, Dr Sbaitsu and Parrot.
It continues to support more formats, new and old, as FFmpeg developers add support for them. When he stopped updating the project in 2006, new maintainers opened the ffdshow tryouts as a fork, where bug-fixes, stability fixes, new features, and codec updates continued.
We strongly recommend users, distributors, and system integrators to upgrade unless they use current git master.
ffdshow is a codec mainly used for decoding of video in the MPEG-4 ASP (e.g.
encoded with Div X or Xvid) and H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video formats, but it supports numerous other video and audio formats as well.
